Today was the first testing day for the 2014 F1 season at Jerez and it was also the day that Red Bull Racing revealed their RB10 and Mercedes with there W05. A few days ago we saw all the other teams reveal their cars, Ferraris F14-T, McLaren MP4-29 , Lotus E22, Force India VJM07, Sauber C33, Toro Rosso STR9, Williams FW36 and Caterham CT05.
There’s not so much to talk about right now but the fact that we will see the highest technologically advanced road going vehicles in history and also some of the ugliest ones.
The whole engineering behind the new F1 cars with all the 2014 regulations is overwhelming and quite impressive. Engineers have done a fantastic job at meeting (so far) the specs, however, how that turns into real world results at racing is going to be a whole new challenge.
Here’s a link I found quite useful to learn about the F1 technology: http://jalopnik.com/how-formula-ones-amazing-new-hybrid-turbo-engine-works-1506450399
And here’s a pic of all the F1 noses,… some remind of a certain type of monkey, some other remind of,… well, a penis. The cars might be designed by function, but c’mon.
